Nautical charts and publications are updated based on the monthly publication Notices to Mariners

The Latvian Maritime Administration issues free publications that must be used when navigating in Latvian waters:

List of Aids to Navigation in the Waters of the Republic of Latvia – list of AtoN in Latvian waters
Nautical Charts and Publications Catalogue – overview of nautical charts and publications
INT 1 Symbols, Abbreviations and Terms used on Charts – description of symbols used in charts
Baltic Sea pilot, Latvian Coast – handbook for mariners
Notices to Mariners – monthly publication for corrections to nautical charts and publications

!!! We transitioned to the new Notices to Mariners publication system in September 2026.

The flow of information will be faster, more convenient and more accessible to users.

What does this mean?

Operational notices are already available for viewing in the online NOTICES TO MARINERS – REGISTER.
The monthly compilation of Notices to Mariners in PDF format will be available on the 1st day of the next month.

A [PDF] button is available in the top right corner of the NtM section on the LJA website; there you can find all issued notices and publications.

The system is still being refined.
