Nautical charts and publications are updated based on the monthly publication Notices to Mariners
The Latvian Maritime Administration issues free publications that must be used when navigating in Latvian waters:

- INT 1 Symbols, Abbreviations and Terms used on Charts – description of symbols used in charts
