Passenger ships engaged in domestic voyages to another Latvian port or returning to the same port shall comply with Cabinet Regulation No. 451 Adopted 14 June 2011 Regulations Regarding the Safety Requirements for the Passenger Ships Engaged in Domestic Voyages.
Sea going passenger ships shall be under the technical supervision of a classification society. The Maritime Safety Inspectorate shall carry out additional inspections of the vessel annually in accordance with point 9.1 of the Cabinet Regulation No. 439 Adopted 7 June 2011 Regulations Regarding the Implementation of Flag State Supervision of Ships.
