Registration of Ship under Construction

In order to registration of ship under construction (including floating docks, floating workshops, floating service stations, debarkaders, cargo pontoons) or fixed installations, the shipbuilder or his or her authorised person, upon commencing the construction of the ship or entering into a contract regarding the construction of the ship, shall submit a submission to the Latvian ship Register and a deed issued by the Maritime Safety Inspectorate of the Maritime Administration of Latvia confirming the commencement of the construction of the ship (in accordance with the laws and regulations regarding maritime administration and maritime safety). Floating structures under construction which are intended to perform certain works on water shall not be recorded.
